an elegant weapon for a more civilized age
The plain HTTP uploads works really well for just throwing up a few files. And the Dropbox integration works great for directory structures, large files, large numbers of files
I am pretty happy with it

There are a lot of things I could do. My intention is to not get bogged down too much in the file upload problem.
i only mean to suggest to go lego shopping in that direction if you ever do the next pass up
Sure. At the moment I am also constrained by how app engine handles large file uploads, which works well but precludes a lot of the fancy javascript solutions.
i mostly use tus python to python, no browsers involved
you can build pretty nice preflight checks
