how many of the jar files do i need for just the wallet?
i extracted the 0.1.3 zip on my pi
Just need the client zip
you mean client.sh?
there is no client zip
i downloaded 1.3.0 zip in the releases section of the .org website
Sorry, I meant jar
snowblossomclientdeploy.jar?
that is the only file i need from there?
Do you have a node to use?
Or want to run a node on the pi?
you will want the scripts and the configs as well
unless you are making those yourself
really you want most of the things in the release zip
i need the node to download the blockchain for my wallet
i can't make anything myself
i have no idea what im doing
first i must run the daemon, yes?
the daemon downloads the blockchain
thats how it is for other crypto wallets ive used
the daemon gets the blockchain
then the client is the wallet thing
my 10 snow will be safe and sound
no worries
do you know how to use screen or tmux?
kind of yeah
I find it easiest to run the node in the screen and leave it running
i know enough to look up the commands
then you can run the client in another window
sure
where will the blockchain be downloaded to?
`node_db` directory
i will use a symlink to make it go to my USB HDD attached to the pi
thanks for your help
i will let you know again when i get stuck
what is the command i need to execute? "jar SnowBlossomNode_deploy.jar" doesnt seem to be it
node.sh
sh node.sh, i guess
shh, baby, it's ok
it said it cant load log handler
mkdir logs
$ sh node.sh [2018-08-09 00:55:29] INFO snowblossom.node.SnowBlossomNode <init> Starting SnowBlossomNode version 1.3.0 [2018-08-09 00:55:29] INFO snowblossom.lib.db.rocksdb.JRocksDB <init> Loadng RocksDB with path node_db/mainnet Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /tmp/librocksdbjni5376919464466629092.so: /tmp/librocksdbjni5376919464466629092.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory (Possible cause: can't load IA 32-bit .so on a ARM-bit platform)
there's more if this isnt enough
Word
in the node.conf set db_type=lobstack
oh yeah this is an ARM processor
it's a RISC processor
does that matter?
RISC vs CISC or something
reduced instruction set
i dont see a node.conf
do i need to create it?
No
It is in the conf directly or something
Node.sh points to it
cat node.sh
i see a config folder with node.conf in it
[2018-08-09 01:01:26] INFO snowblossom.node.Peerage start Starting peerage [2018-08-09 01:01:29] INFO snowblossom.lib.TimeWatcher run Exception in TimeWatcher: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target [2018-08-09 01:01:30] INFO snowblossom.node.Peerage reportTip Got first tip from a remote peer
is that it working?
Yep
yayy
First tip is very good sign
when im older im gonna be a script kiddie
Blocks should stream in soon
lots of stuff is scrolling fast up the screen
Good
thanks
You can let that run and go run the client
won't this make it completely infeasible for the average person to run a snowblossom node?
forces the development of arktika to more latency independent distribution strategies, so one can mine with ~anything and still be power efficient
Looks like http://qtrade.io is getting a reputation for listing coins made from scratch.
They've listed VEO and they're now considering listing MCM
I'm trying to get a message to their representative on Discord, but I would consider applying for listing there.
