this is my first logo
Hey @Clueless, what's the price range for trading lately?
I like that first one @samspeed Nice work!
isn’t the first one the mitsubishi logo with some spikes added?
haha
good evening!
word
why are the hashrates from rpc so different from the ones in report.txt?
so many 0s at 15-min
maybe bad luck in finding shares.
@dcryptt it's all over the place. Can't realistically quantify.
different sample window, rpc gives you *now* and the report is flushed periodically (so it gives the *now* of then)
ah. okay. i understand.
the 1h metric is the only one which makes any sense to me, the sample counts in all the rest are way too low to make sense (the miner aims at ~1min share interval now, but usually overshoots to 2min .. 3min share intervals)
i suppose based on the share counts you could just give your own 'average over unpaid', i might do that
I think we need to agree on a proper metric, and only use that.
It's confusing otherwise.
i'm fairly certain people will disagree with the rigour i seek so i'll just keep rolling my own
people tend to be hasty and want to see something immediately, i'm not interested in catering to the crowd who goes away in the lack of immediate feedback
also as i'm the only one mining on my pool, i'm fairly succesful in that as well
bah, would have to figure out what the unpaid stands for, is one of them worth a 22 diff share submit or what?
and then they double count per step up?
Unpaid?
what's the count you get there? unpaid shares from the last 5 blocks (pending the 5th and some fraction will then be paid)?
No such thing as paid vs unpaid
There are just shares
Which are used for each new block to assign proportional rewards
and the oldest shares thus fall off as the N progresses?
Yep
The fall of is the same regardless of how many blocks the pool finds
what i'm after there is the share counts which will fall off upon the next block
if that's significantly more or less than a fifth of the current share count, i can display a green arrow up or a red arrow down
Estimate number of shares to get a block, multily by five
We keep that many shares back
kk, i blindly assumed it actually keeps track of per address shares per previous block found, and then drops the shares from the oldest block when a new block is found
I think I see what you are getting at
you want to have an idea of how many are going to drop off soon
correct
woudl have to change share manager to present that view
but very doable
no hurries on that, but that'd provide me the most transparent and honest view into what's going to happen when the next block gets found
which, is as far as accounting goes, how i'd like it
also wraps into a neat table format
which can expand into historical views too
i think on the long run i'll just post a column per block id found with the shares for that and the latest one being a mystery block (as it is not found yet) and then have an arrow (or dropdown menu or autocomplete widget down the line) for browsing back through the history
and not bother with hashrate estimates as the miner will tell you if you're interested in looking at that
and as currently, just flush the stats onto static files every 15 minutes and have javascript refreshing the page every 15 minutes
@Rotonen what is ur pools URL?
https://snowplough.kekku.li/ A Snowblossom mining pool which tries to do things slow, steady, stable and thorough.
:+1:
I need to update the wiki's FAQ. Payouts happen after about 5 blocks?
based on your contributions to the last 5 blocks the pool has found
