Any plans for something like an adaptive blocksize cap?
never heard of it
something like BIP-103
or BIP-106, or BIP-101, or BIP-105...
There's a ton of these proposals.
And personally I think it's a shame none of them were ever implemented.
I know Snowblossom has a static limit, so I wonder if we could replace that with something better.
(oops, my brain gave up for a few seconds and I typed "blockchain" instead of "blocksize". sorry for that.)
ah, I recall those being discussed a while back
honestly, as long as we are talking about 32mb or so, I don't see this issue as being such a hot button
right now we are limited to just under 4mb due to some grpc default limits
but I plan on lifting that when it makes sense to worry about
Ah, I didn't know it was a grpc limitation. But great to hear.
yeah, it is just a default max message size
To some it might not make sense to bring this up while most blocks have 1 tx (coinbase)... but it was like that with BTC too, and we all know how that turned out.
Cool.
