Should I make a PoS snowblossom fork?
I have an idea
which is probably stupid
haven't thought through it yet
need to make sure it doesn't devolve into a PoW flail chain beast
which would make an effective D&D boss, not so much a useful blockchain
The basic concept is using something that can't be changed (like block number) as the input to create a hash that then controls when addresses may certify blocks
and by when, I mean clock time
so a new block is created, then some function would control which addresses can create blocks when. If an address isn't online (or hasn't delegated to someone who is) then their time slot is passed
eventually it gets to a slot where anyone may certify any valid block (using some sort fallback PoW) (which is how initial blocks are made)
