split -b 1073741824 -a 4 -x snowblossom.7.snow "snowblossom.7.snow."
this does the same as the "split.sh"-script, and also works for other fields
cool
my shares are decreasing even though im mining
and its not on the pick level
That can happen if others are increasing their mining speed relative to you
no this is not regular
i must have at least 10 k
and i have 450
and decreasing
Are you mining at 1mh/s?
the miner went off during my sleep
it looks like your share count is going back up
now its going down
i managed to get 1.5
still testing
the share counts drop every time a block is found
it shouldn't, unless you are talking about difficulty changes
@Fireduck you should make some kindergarten stick figure representation of how that works, as people, including me, keep dropping the ball on understanding that
http://thegeekyway.com/java-autoboxing-xxautoboxcachemax/ Autoboxing is the mechanism in Java to convert primitive type values to respective wrapper class object. Java programmer mostly use autoboxing while using collections, since collection only holds o…
this makes sense for us?
its actually what aggrevieopts do
but was depracted in jdk11
so we now have that
@dk3 this is new enough that no one knows yet - try and report back so others can try too
im troubleshooting max i can
exploration into jvm tweaking is most welcome
i ve also discovered sometimes isnt just the reported hashrate
at least for my sv
which my memory doesnt seem stable with some flags
its about how stable it can be
only the 1h hashrate after 2h of mining matters
that is why
stability
every setting change you do, you should test for at least 2 hours, especially JVM flags, as those can have weird effects, especially the GC flags
@Rotonen I wish I had a diagram solution that I didn't hate.
When I need something for business needs I actually usually still write out the diagram on paper, scan it and include that in my doc
@Fireduck i use lucidchart
I used to be ok with visio, but still spent more time than I liked moving dumb boxes around
I'll try that, I think the doc tool we use at work has that integrated
i usually sketch architecture, data and event flows with it
works and can do proper printable PDFs
im currently trying this
but it always takes about 2/3 min for my miner to have kh/s
this one will cause an exception
cause it exhausts
@Rotonen can java version have influence
or its just the jdk
not sure if this sentence even makes sense
speed is all about garbadge collector for this coin
for instance with 1 i get 1.5mh
others 1mh
and the one im trying 0.5mh
It will be a different story when the field doesn't fit into ram any more
indeed
then someone will need to figure out thread count autotuning
that no-op GC sounds like fun
but I should point out that no part of the mining code is designed for that. I tried to reuse buffers where I could and made sense, but that is no where near being garbage free.
im installing other GC
that doesnt come out of the box
not sure if its stuck on instalation or not will soon find out
trying now this GC lets see
( not included in default java )
can anyone help me
maybe
I am not burying any more bodies
that is hard work
ok nvm
i got it
shit, it was burying bodies
what do you mena
that was a very serious acusation
You asked for help. I said maybe as long as it wasn't burying bodies. You said nevermind.
so I can only conclude you are actually burying bodies
obviously I am joking
no im reporting you
to authorities
have fun
