@Rotonen @THX 1138 4EB So, it's come up repeatedly that we need an RPC? Turns out @Fireduck has already filled out (as far as I can tell) the GRPC stuff.
that's basically transportable to every language. it may not be as friendly/easy as a jsonrpc, but we can get started on developing tools around it
That is what the node, pool and explorer already use
If you want help on getting started on that, let me know and I can guide you a little on what I've got working so far.
@Clueless can you make an example python app that builds and runs?
I have one already, except for the bazel build stuff
Then we can put that in the GitHub as a separate project and people can fork it to do whatever
just a connector rather
Whatever works
new client is going to have things that make sense, like new addresses in a pool
and using a fresh address for change
and being able to mark addresses as used
@Fireduck is address generation currently deterministic? If not, how big is the change pool so that users don’t lose money restoring older backups?
@Jimtalksdata not deterministic. At the moment new ones are not generated.
Working on improvement to that now. Probably default to 100 for key pool.
where is clueless????
@Clueless i can manage when i will, rest assured

LOL,sorry
