Hey all, question for heavy miners. What hash rates are you guys seeing? I'm trying to get a feel for what is 'optimal' for this field, in terms of a target.
this is
lol...I'll keep playing around. Trying to test for a hardware build before I start acquiring parts. I think I'm on the right track, so far I'm up to 1.4 mh or so.
Depends on hardware. If you own your own hardware you will get higher hash per core. Rented VMs are usually around 50kh per core when memfield mining
But architecturally, am I more heavily focusing on RAM, or drive quality? Seems like if I stick with memory mining, the drives don't matter as much in the long run.
Biggest field is 2T, right?
Which mineral pool is this
Ok, I see how to scale it now after looking at field sizes. Run mem long as you can, then on higher fields drives and virtual mem start to come into play.
Not sure, i thought it was some monster running solo lol.
Its a private pool
Which pool??
Too much mining
We don't have any.
No one knows except them. Hence why I said private
Which pool do you use
aw I W
How is this
In the future, mining pools can be found here: https://github.com/snowblossomcoin/snowblossom/wiki/Mining-Pools
Is this pool much more excavated?
excavated?
@Ninja what do you mean?
The translation software is not good to use
Use this pool to dig more SNOW
use any pool you like
its your decision
Is it more?
I need a stable pool
everyone does. I think the dev team probably would not post links to the pools they felt were unstable.
the people running the pools are pretty competent
All pools are good. They just have different hashrates which will affect how consistent your rewards are
dwmve86sywjhk3xsfznj2wkjjv9j7rnc6z7afgwv scary whale:joy:
Don't you protest against this kind of behavior
This is an abnormal state. It's not good for a long time.
I think they are GCP or AWS staff....lol
This is a bad behavior for renting a GOOGLE server
decentralized is decentralized
But we can't restrict them...
Report this to GOOGLE, send mail
just mine more so the next snowfield kicks in
that’ll solve that
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don't think this is a problem, they need more snow, when they have enough, they leave
If these big whales continue, then many people will leave the snow
people come, people go; yet the snow keeps on falling
May be chinese whale......lol
Sent a report email to Google
@kaka you should ask the idea of development
How do you know its google cloud?
nyone can mail to operations team ""
if you are worried about one sided hash dominance, mine more
and if you wanna distribute better, use your own pool one of the smaller pools
Are you sure you have more hash?
We need more people, period
getting the miner friendlier to use well would be big
the reason this happens is because some investors pool money together and hope to dominate future markets
it's entirely abusive.
hopefully those returns are distributed and not centralized
you can do the same, mostly hustling and bustling, that
waving hands and selling dreams
@dystophia Mining with GCP is lowest cost
Hash cannot be concentrated in some people
GCP cost $1+ per,AWS cost $2+
google n1-standard-64 64vcpus 240G RAM just $0.64/hour,i sure they use a lot of:joy:
@kaka You can tell Paul:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
I already told
You're funny if you think google cares that they're mining. As long as they're paying their bill they don't care.
Also AWS is cheaper
If you can't beat em. Join em.
I can't beat or join, I can only exit
AWS is cheaper?this is misleading
So just because google is cheaper you know for sure they are using google?
why not?I also use
Because you dont know anything
Might be something else they are using
AWS is cheaper
How many MH you get for $.64/hr?
2MH+
Lol
aws is cheaper then
$.60/hr for 2.9MH/s with aws
Ps if you use v1.0.6 you will get higher hr
i'll try it
when you disclose, talk in megahash per dollar per hour
can we make up names in the block explorer every time an anon whale starts mining?
looks like "sugar tits" pool is slowing down
"boner madness" is up
I was thinking of a way to tag them and then pick a static name
doable, but probably not my top priority
Must be huge SSD BOTNET!
that would be fun
They are mining snow directly on SSD firmware!
whats wrong here i have 24 cores and 153gb ram
ubuntu 16.04
try PoolMiner --jvm_flags="-Xmx140g "
java has an internal memory limit for some stuff, which you explicitly need to set

i'm genuinely impressed of anyone who can set up snowblossom miners across a botnet
yeah no doubt
latency doesn't matter, only bandwidth
but only if you get the scale ridiculous
i'm not seeing terahash on the board yet
At that high of hash rate, the snow fields will be actual war crimes
INFO: Generating snow field at 4214.45 writes per second. Estimated total runtime is 247.70 hours. 0.62 complete.
Any chance we could get the blockexplorer to have all the top stats left aligned and all the recent blocks right aligned? Like this.
so much wasted space at the top the way it is
yeah, if you submit a pull request with that change in it
is the css for the blockexplorer publicly available ?
lol, css
everything is public
none of it is reasonable
it is in the code under "shackleton"
none of what is reasonable?
the explorer code
it's unreasonable?
it is a quick hack, not good code
it can't be reasoned with?
I know nothing about java
ok
absolute shit decomposition
I figured it was just a basic website
*throws snowball at fireduck*
it is a bunch of java print lines
have you guys had a snow fight yet?
once you get the rpc stuff together, you can query with cron and flush to disk via something like hugo
:snowman:
:snowman:
what an odd website
helpful
:snowman:
:snowman:
well
arent we productive
@THX 1138 4EB it is a true classic
quality work
a bot net is not really a reasonable conclusion, right? 'cause of the data download... or is it?
doesn't seem likely
not impossible
core blimey, it's almost time for a field change
i was still enjoying 7
no where near a field change
would need to be at nearly 4 GH/s for taht
We are creeping back up the activation diff for field 7
the difficulty is 38.890 and thats 0.11 away from field change, right?
but that doesn't matter
39 was activation of 7
oh right ok
plenty of time to enjoy field 7 still
it's a nice field
it's name is the same as my license plate
llama? you got llama on your license plate?
yes
what's it with you an llamas?
Doesn't everyone?
:stuck_out_tongue:
nothing
did you not pay a charge for such a license plate or were you just "lucky"
it is a small charge
i suppose all the good ones are taken? :stuck_out_tongue:
that is a good one
 oh right
