I can't get dockerhub to build regex tags and I've tried numerous times now. I'm likely to examine github actions as an alternative.

We can also use our own automation to build builds and push them into the docker hub.

for this case it seems like you've spent several hours trying to figure this out and it would probably take an hour to build the automation ourselves.
